Each Zollanvari rug is a single, handcrafted piece · once it leaves the loom and finds a home, it leaves the collection.

Shiraz sits at the heart of the Fars Province, one of the great centres of southern Persian tribal weaving. It is also deeply connected to the Zollanvari family story. In 1947, Gholam Reza Zollanvari joined his father's carpet business, working closely with the Qashqai and Luri nomads of the region. Today, generations later, the Zollanvari family continues this tradition. The region is known for its deep ruby reds, indigo blues and warm natural tones. Rich reds are particularly characteristic, traditionally achieved with natural madder dyes, while the exceptional wool of the Fars region takes colour with remarkable depth. For the Zollanvari family, Shiraz is also home to their world-class, 100 percent eco-friendly natural dyeing heritage and dyeing facility, where hand-spun wool is traditionally coloured before making its journey back to the nomadic weavers.
